When you break open our eggs you might be surprised by the bright, almost orange color of the yoke.
This coloring comes about because the chickens have been allowed to feed on grasses in the pasture area surrounding the
hen house. You are eating eggs from chickens that have been grazing.
Eggs from chickens that have been on pasture are better for you, the chickens and the environment. Just as important,
grass fed products are much better for your health. These eggs are lower in bad fat and calories but richer in "good"
fats such as omega-3 fatty acids.
Fresh eggs are available daily.
The cost is $3.50 a dozen.
We hope you will enjoy these eggs and that you will purchase them often
at the LOCK FARM.
About our meat chickens
Our meat chickens are raised on grass. They are moved frequently so that they have
a fresh pasture.
The chickens may grow to 3 to 5 pound before they are ready to be sold. We sell them plucked and cleaned; ready to go
into your freezer or oven.
